Barangay Guinabonan

Situated in Malitbog, Southern Leyte, Barangay Guinabonan is one of 37 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 32nd largest of 37 barangays in Malitbog by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guinabonan accounted for approximately 1.43% of the total population of Malitbog, which stood at 23,256 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Guinabonan moving from 331 residents to 332 residents, an intercensal change of +0.3%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Guinabonan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
