Situated in Mandaon, Masbate, Barangay Looc is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Looc had a population of 962. This made it the 18th largest of 26 barangays in Mandaon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Looc accounted for approximately 2.18% of the total population of Mandaon, which stood at 44,122 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Looc moving from 886 residents to 962 residents, an intercensal change of +8.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
