Barangay Banaoang

Situated in Mangaldan, Pangasinan, Barangay Banaoang is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Banaoang had a population of 5,857. This made it the 4th largest of 30 barangays in Mangaldan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Banaoang accounted for approximately 5.17% of the total population of Mangaldan, which stood at 113,185 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Banaoang moving from 5,267 residents to 5,857 residents, an intercensal change of +11.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Banaoang as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Mangaldan is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banaoang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
