Barangay Bagtic

Situated in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental, Barangay Bagtic is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagtic had a population of 1,825. This made it the 12th largest of 27 barangays in Manjuyod by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagtic accounted for approximately 4.07% of the total population of Manjuyod, which stood at 44,799 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,668 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,825 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bagtic is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Manjuyod is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagtic, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
