Barangay Langgawisan

Situated in Maragusan, Davao De Oro, Barangay Langgawisan is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Langgawisan had a population of 3,019. This made it the 8th largest of 24 barangays in Maragusan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Langgawisan accounted for approximately 4.69% of the total population of Maragusan, which stood at 64,412 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Langgawisan changed from 2,028 to 3,019, a shift of +48.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Maragusan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Langgawisan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
