Barangay Bagongsilang

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bagongsilang is one of the administrative divisions of Maramag in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagongsilang had a population of 1,024. This made it the 20th largest of 20 barangays in Maramag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagongsilang accounted for approximately 0.95% of the total population of Maramag, which stood at 108,293 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagongsilang moving from 1,045 residents to 1,024 residents, an intercensal change of -2.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagongsilang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Maramag is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagongsilang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bagongsilang ranks 395th by 2020 population.
