Barangay Mansahaon

Barangay Mansahaon forms part of Matag-Ob, a municipality in Leyte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mansahaon had a population of 878. This made it the 7th largest of 21 barangays in Matag-Ob by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mansahaon accounted for approximately 5.01% of the total population of Matag-Ob, which stood at 17,522 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mansahaon changed from 923 to 878, a shift of -4.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Matag-Ob. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mansahaon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Matag-Ob is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mansahaon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
