Barangay Sapang Maisac

Barangay Sapang Maisac is a large barangay in the municipality of Mexico, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sapang Maisac had a population of 8,085. This made it the 2nd largest of 43 barangays in Mexico by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sapang Maisac accounted for approximately 4.66% of the total population of Mexico, which stood at 173,403 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sapang Maisac moving from 6,695 residents to 8,085 residents, an intercensal change of +20.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sapang Maisac as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
