Barangay Buloron

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Buloron is one of the administrative divisions of Midsalip in Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buloron had a population of 1,986. This made it the 2nd largest of 33 barangays in Midsalip by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buloron accounted for approximately 5.89% of the total population of Midsalip, which stood at 33,711 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buloron moving from 1,993 residents to 1,986 residents, an intercensal change of -0.4%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Buloron as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Midsalip is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Buloron, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Zamboanga Del Sur, which contains 779 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Buloron ranks 122nd by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
