Barangay Lower Glad

Barangay Lower Glad is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Midsayap, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lower Glad had a population of 2,694. This made it the 18th largest of 57 barangays in Midsayap by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lower Glad accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of Midsayap, which stood at 165,376 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,498 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,694 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lower Glad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Midsayap is a municipality comprising 57 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lower Glad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
