Barangay Guinluthangan

Barangay Guinluthangan forms part of Milagros, a municipality in Masbate, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Guinluthangan had a population of 837. This made it the 25th largest of 27 barangays in Milagros by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guinluthangan accounted for approximately 1.45% of the total population of Milagros, which stood at 57,538 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,030 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 837 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -18.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Guinluthangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Milagros is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guinluthangan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Masbate, which contains 550 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Guinluthangan ranks 427th by 2020 population. Masbate is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
