Barangay Manapao

Barangay Manapao is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Minalabac, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Manapao had a population of 2,660. This made it the 7th largest of 25 barangays in Minalabac by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manapao accounted for approximately 4.93% of the total population of Minalabac, which stood at 53,981 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Manapao moving from 2,088 residents to 2,660 residents, an intercensal change of +27.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Manapao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Minalabac is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manapao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
