Barangay Tunga

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tunga is one of the administrative divisions of Moalboal in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tunga had a population of 2,862. This made it the 5th largest of 15 barangays in Moalboal by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tunga accounted for approximately 7.75% of the total population of Moalboal, which stood at 36,930 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tunga moving from 2,413 residents to 2,862 residents, an intercensal change of +18.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tunga is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
