Barangay Butansapa

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Butansapa is one of the administrative divisions of Mogpog in Marinduque, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Butansapa had a population of 935. This made it the 15th largest of 37 barangays in Mogpog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Butansapa accounted for approximately 2.71% of the total population of Mogpog, which stood at 34,516 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Butansapa moving from 966 residents to 935 residents, an intercensal change of -3.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Butansapa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
