Barangay Santa Catalina

Situated in Mondragon, Northern Samar, Barangay Santa Catalina is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Catalina had a population of 508. This made it the 22nd largest of 24 barangays in Mondragon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Catalina accounted for approximately 1.23% of the total population of Mondragon, which stood at 41,415 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 388 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 508 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +30.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Santa Catalina is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mondragon is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Catalina, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
