Barangay Maglambong

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Maglambong is one of the administrative divisions of Monreal in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maglambong had a population of 1,675. This made it the 7th largest of 11 barangays in Monreal by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maglambong accounted for approximately 6.66% of the total population of Monreal, which stood at 25,164 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maglambong changed from 1,752 to 1,675, a shift of -4.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Monreal. Barangay Maglambong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Monreal is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maglambong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
