Barangay Sagongon

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Sagongon is one of the administrative divisions of Mulanay in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sagongon had a population of 445. This made it the 27th largest of 28 barangays in Mulanay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sagongon accounted for approximately 0.80% of the total population of Mulanay, which stood at 55,576 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sagongon moving from 359 residents to 445 residents, an intercensal change of +24.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sagongon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mulanay is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sagongon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
