Barangay Silangan Lazaan

Barangay Silangan Lazaan is a small barangay in the municipality of Nagcarlan, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Silangan Lazaan had a population of 1,314. This made it the 20th largest of 52 barangays in Nagcarlan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Silangan Lazaan accounted for approximately 2.03% of the total population of Nagcarlan, which stood at 64,866 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,251 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,314 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Silangan Lazaan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Nagcarlan is a municipality comprising 52 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Silangan Lazaan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
