Barangay Sulsuguin

Situated in Nagcarlan, Laguna, Barangay Sulsuguin is one of 52 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sulsuguin had a population of 286. This made it the 47th largest of 52 barangays in Nagcarlan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sulsuguin accounted for approximately 0.44% of the total population of Nagcarlan, which stood at 64,866 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sulsuguin changed from 253 to 286, a shift of +13.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Nagcarlan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sulsuguin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Nagcarlan is a municipality comprising 52 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sulsuguin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
