Barangay Palangue 1

Barangay Palangue 1 is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Naic, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Palangue 1 had a population of 4,409. This made it the 15th largest of 30 barangays in Naic by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Palangue 1 accounted for approximately 2.74% of the total population of Naic, which stood at 160,987 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Palangue 1 changed from 4,136 to 4,409, a shift of +6.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Naic. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Palangue 1 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Naic is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Palangue 1, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
