Barangay New Cortez

Barangay New Cortez is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of New Corella, located in the province of Davao Del Norte, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay New Cortez had a population of 2,982. This made it the 6th largest of 20 barangays in New Corella by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New Cortez accounted for approximately 5.15% of the total population of New Corella, which stood at 57,913 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay New Cortez moving from 2,766 residents to 2,982 residents, an intercensal change of +7.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
