Barangay I (Pob.)

Barangay I (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Pagsanjan, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay I (Pob.) had a population of 1,485. This made it the 12th largest of 16 barangays in Pagsanjan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay I (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.35% of the total population of Pagsanjan, which stood at 44,327 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay I (Pob.) moving from 1,559 residents to 1,485 residents, an intercensal change of -4.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay I (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
