Barangay Buri (Pob.)

Barangay Buri (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Palo, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Buri (Pob.) had a population of 1,264. This made it the 25th largest of 33 barangays in Palo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buri (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.66% of the total population of Palo, which stood at 76,213 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Buri (Pob.) changed from 1,418 to 1,264, a shift of -10.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Palo. Barangay Buri (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Palo is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Buri (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
