Barangay Cabarasan Daku

Barangay Cabarasan Daku is a small barangay in the municipality of Palo, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabarasan Daku had a population of 817. This made it the 31st largest of 33 barangays in Palo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabarasan Daku accounted for approximately 1.07% of the total population of Palo, which stood at 76,213 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 800 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 817 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabarasan Daku as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Palo is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabarasan Daku, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Leyte, which contains 1,641 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cabarasan Daku ranks 790th by 2020 population.
