Barangay Mananao

Situated in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro, Barangay Mananao is one of 12 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mananao had a population of 1,774. This made it the 6th largest of 12 barangays in Paluan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mananao accounted for approximately 9.56% of the total population of Paluan, which stood at 18,566 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mananao moving from 1,895 residents to 1,774 residents, an intercensal change of -6.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mananao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
