Barangay Salvacion (Pob.)

Barangay Salvacion (Pob.) is a very small barangay in the municipality of Panganiban, located in the province of Catanduanes, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salvacion (Pob.) had a population of 463. This made it the 6th largest of 23 barangays in Panganiban by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salvacion (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.77% of the total population of Panganiban, which stood at 9,713 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Salvacion (Pob.) changed from 475 to 463, a shift of -2.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Panganiban. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salvacion (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Panganiban is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Salvacion (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
