Barangay Poblacion East

Situated in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Poblacion East is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 3,757. This made it the 1st largest of 14 barangays in Pantabangan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion East accounted for approximately 11.83% of the total population of Pantabangan, which stood at 31,763 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,517 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,757 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion East is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pantabangan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion East ranks 185th by 2020 population.
