Barangay Tagdangua

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tagdangua is one of the administrative divisions of Pantukan in Davao De Oro, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tagdangua had a population of 4,765. This made it the 5th largest of 13 barangays in Pantukan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagdangua accounted for approximately 5.25% of the total population of Pantukan, which stood at 90,786 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,779 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,765 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tagdangua as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Pantukan is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tagdangua, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao De Oro, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tagdangua ranks 42nd by 2020 population. Davao De Oro is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Tagdangua is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
