Barangay Cagaluan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cagaluan is one of the administrative divisions of Pasil in Kalinga, CAR, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cagaluan had a population of 1,479. This made it the 2nd largest of 14 barangays in Pasil by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagaluan accounted for approximately 13.98% of the total population of Pasil, which stood at 10,577 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cagaluan moving from 1,276 residents to 1,479 residents, an intercensal change of +15.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cagaluan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pasil is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cagaluan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
