Barangay Ngabangab

Barangay Ngabangab is a small barangay in the municipality of Pasuquin, located in the province of Ilocos Norte, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ngabangab had a population of 693. This made it the 17th largest of 33 barangays in Pasuquin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ngabangab accounted for approximately 2.34% of the total population of Pasuquin, which stood at 29,678 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 726 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 693 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Ngabangab is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pasuquin is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ngabangab, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Norte, which contains 559 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ngabangab ranks 421st by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
