Barangay Catarauan

Situated in Piat, Cagayan, Barangay Catarauan is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Catarauan had a population of 1,008. This made it the 10th largest of 18 barangays in Piat by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Catarauan accounted for approximately 4.06% of the total population of Piat, which stood at 24,805 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Catarauan moving from 867 residents to 1,008 residents, an intercensal change of +16.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
