Barangay Dupitac

Situated in Piddig, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Dupitac is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dupitac had a population of 765. This made it the 12th largest of 23 barangays in Piddig by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dupitac accounted for approximately 3.40% of the total population of Piddig, which stood at 22,475 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 712 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 765 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Dupitac is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Piddig is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dupitac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
