Barangay Poblacion East

Barangay Poblacion East forms part of Pidigan, a municipality in Abra, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 1,683. This made it the 1st largest of 15 barangays in Pidigan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. The barangay recorded 1,623 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,683 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion East as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
