Barangay Cabpangi

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cabpangi is one of the administrative divisions of Pigkawayan in Cotabato, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabpangi had a population of 1,260. This made it the 20th largest of 40 barangays in Pigkawayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabpangi accounted for approximately 1.74% of the total population of Pigkawayan, which stood at 72,371 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabpangi moving from 1,482 residents to 1,260 residents, an intercensal change of -15.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabpangi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pigkawayan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabpangi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
