Barangay Central Panatan

Barangay Central Panatan is a small barangay in the municipality of Pigkawayan, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Central Panatan had a population of 1,183. This made it the 21st largest of 40 barangays in Pigkawayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Central Panatan accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of Pigkawayan, which stood at 72,371 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Central Panatan moving from 1,059 residents to 1,183 residents, an intercensal change of +11.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Central Panatan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
