Barangay Santa Fe

Barangay Santa Fe is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Pilar, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Fe had a population of 2,972. This made it the 4th largest of 24 barangays in Pilar by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Fe accounted for approximately 6.31% of the total population of Pilar, which stood at 47,100 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santa Fe moving from 2,555 residents to 2,972 residents, an intercensal change of +16.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Fe as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pilar is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Fe, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
