Barangay Lundag

Situated in Pilar, Bohol, Barangay Lundag is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lundag had a population of 861. This made it the 14th largest of 21 barangays in Pilar by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lundag accounted for approximately 3.00% of the total population of Pilar, which stood at 28,693 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lundag changed from 789 to 861, a shift of +9.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Pilar. Barangay Lundag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pilar is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lundag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
