Barangay Dapdap

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Dapdap is one of the administrative divisions of Pilar in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dapdap had a population of 671. This made it the 10th largest of 13 barangays in Pilar by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dapdap accounted for approximately 5.37% of the total population of Pilar, which stood at 12,506 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 563 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 671 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +19.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Dapdap is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pilar is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dapdap, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
