Barangay Pantingan

Situated in Pilar, Bataan, Barangay Pantingan is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pantingan had a population of 1,482. This made it the 9th largest of 19 barangays in Pilar by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pantingan accounted for approximately 3.21% of the total population of Pilar, which stood at 46,239 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pantingan changed from 1,442 to 1,482, a shift of +2.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Pilar. Barangay Pantingan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pilar is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pantingan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bataan, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pantingan ranks 170th by 2020 population.
