Barangay Maliangcog

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Maliangcog is one of the administrative divisions of Pinamalayan in Oriental Mindoro, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Maliangcog had a population of 1,585. This made it the 27th largest of 37 barangays in Pinamalayan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maliangcog accounted for approximately 1.75% of the total population of Pinamalayan, which stood at 90,383 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Maliangcog moving from 1,512 residents to 1,585 residents, an intercensal change of +4.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Maliangcog as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
