Barangay Sto. Niño

Situated in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Sto. Niño is one of 37 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sto. Niño had a population of 1,277. This made it the 31st largest of 37 barangays in Pinamalayan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sto. Niño accounted for approximately 1.41% of the total population of Pinamalayan, which stood at 90,383 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,165 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,277 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Sto. Niño is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
