Barangay Casabangan

Situated in Pio v. Corpuz, Masbate, Barangay Casabangan is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Casabangan had a population of 1,258. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in Pio v. Corpuz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Casabangan accounted for approximately 5.30% of the total population of Pio v. Corpuz, which stood at 23,744 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Casabangan changed from 1,194 to 1,258, a shift of +5.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Pio v. Corpuz. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Casabangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
