Barangay Guindawahan

Barangay Guindawahan forms part of Pio v. Corpuz, a municipality in Masbate, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Guindawahan had a population of 2,158. This made it the 2nd largest of 18 barangays in Pio v. Corpuz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guindawahan accounted for approximately 9.09% of the total population of Pio v. Corpuz, which stood at 23,744 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Guindawahan changed from 1,939 to 2,158, a shift of +11.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Pio v. Corpuz. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Guindawahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Corpuz is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guindawahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
