Barangay Sampaloc

Barangay Sampaloc is a small barangay in the municipality of Pitogo, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sampaloc had a population of 756. This made it the 10th largest of 39 barangays in Pitogo by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sampaloc accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of Pitogo, which stood at 22,798 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sampaloc moving from 753 residents to 756 residents, an intercensal change of +0.4%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Sampaloc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
