Barangay Quirino

Situated in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Quirino is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Quirino had a population of 391. This made it the 30th largest of 33 barangays in Plaridel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Quirino accounted for approximately 0.98% of the total population of Plaridel, which stood at 39,840 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Quirino changed from 428 to 391, a shift of -8.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Plaridel. Barangay Quirino is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
