Barangay Bacungan

Barangay Bacungan is a small barangay in the municipality of Pola, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bacungan had a population of 564. This made it the 21st largest of 23 barangays in Pola by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bacungan accounted for approximately 1.59% of the total population of Pola, which stood at 35,455 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bacungan moving from 567 residents to 564 residents, an intercensal change of -0.5%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Bacungan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
