Barangay Sianib

Situated in Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Sianib is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sianib had a population of 1,178. This made it the 16th largest of 30 barangays in Polanco by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sianib accounted for approximately 2.79% of the total population of Polanco, which stood at 42,265 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sianib moving from 1,073 residents to 1,178 residents, an intercensal change of +9.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sianib as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
