Barangay Cotmon

Barangay Cotmon is a small barangay in the municipality of Polangui, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cotmon had a population of 699. This made it the 40th largest of 44 barangays in Polangui by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cotmon accounted for approximately 0.78% of the total population of Polangui, which stood at 89,176 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cotmon moving from 652 residents to 699 residents, an intercensal change of +7.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cotmon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Polangui is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cotmon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
