Barangay Salvacion

Situated in Polangui, Albay, Barangay Salvacion is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Salvacion had a population of 1,163. This made it the 30th largest of 44 barangays in Polangui by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salvacion accounted for approximately 1.30% of the total population of Polangui, which stood at 89,176 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,208 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,163 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Salvacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
