Barangay Santicon

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Santicon is one of the administrative divisions of Polangui in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santicon had a population of 2,909. This made it the 13th largest of 44 barangays in Polangui by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santicon accounted for approximately 3.26% of the total population of Polangui, which stood at 89,176 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santicon moving from 2,878 residents to 2,909 residents, an intercensal change of +1.1%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santicon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Polangui is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santicon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
